How to measure

Measuring for boots can make all the difference! Boots that are too big wear out faster and are easier to pull, shake off or step out of. Boots too tight can be uncomfortable and cause rubs. We encourage you to measure your horse to find their best fit.

You will need a soft tape measure or some way of figuring out their size. I've seen this done with not only a soft tape measure, but a height/weight tape, contractors tape and even a soda can!

You need 2 numbers:

1. The measurement around at the fattest part of their heel bulb

2. The height you want the boot.

While most horses will fit in one of our regular sizes, we happily make custom boots for minis, donkeys, drafts and other farm animals. Everyone deserves to be comfortable.
